Just when I thought I was done writing for the night, I find out that about 2 hours ago there was a shooting at the Twilight Exist bar on the 2500 block of East Cherry in Seattle, Wa.

According to police reports, at about 10:15 p.m. a man shot his girlfriend inside the Twilight Exist bar in the legs, along with the bouncer.

The gunman had come to the bar looking for his ex-girlfriend, police said. An argument ensued and the man pulled out a gun, firing several shots. The woman was struck multiple times and a bouncer, described as a man in his 30s, was also wounded. Both were rushed to a local hospital but were expected to survive, police said.

Investigators said when Seattle police officers arrived on the scene and began to enter the bar, they ran into the gunman as he tried to exit. The gunman raised his gun and fired one shot before officers returned fire and fatally wounded him, police said. – Via Komo News

This is apparently the first Seattle homicide in 2013, plus the first homicide since October 2012.
